(part 2)

Summary:
Differentiated instruction (DI) is an interactive process between the student and the teacher. The teacher’s goal is to respond to the special needs of the student, while the student’s active participation in the learning process and the highlighting of his maximum potential (Tomlinson, 1991). Key components: -Flexible grouping -Interesting learning activities -Variety of techniques and media/appropriately designed learning options -Students’ awareness of difficulties and possibilities Teaching to different student levels is also supported in higher education. According to Santagelo and Tomlinson (2009) students can be taught differently, based on relevant research (Chamberlin and Powers (2010) with the DD of mathematics in undergraduate students). It is important for tertiary educators to consider: What teaching methods are effective? Therefore, following last year’s presentation on DD, strategies and tools used in differentiating teaching will be presented and through investigation and experience it is important for each participant to reflect on their usefulness and how to use them in their teaching. cognitive object. Always taking into account the means and strategies proposed by the DD, in Higher Education the importance of the student’s self-evaluation and self-control for the effective application of the DD can be seen.
